About Adebayo Olusola

Adebayo Olusola is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Graphic Design at International University Canada, where he teaches and supports students across the School of Creative Media & Design. His academic work focuses on visual identity design, examining how logos, color systems, typography, and brand guidelines work together to create a cohesive and memorable brand presence.

Throughout his early academic career, Adebayo Olusola has built a teaching approach grounded in foundational design principles, helping students understand composition, typography, and color theory before applying these principles to real brand identity projects. He believes that strong fundamentals allow designers to create work that remains effective across different brands, industries, and cultural contexts.

In his courses, Adebayo Olusola draws on brand identity case studies, design critique sessions, and current research in visual communication to help students build practical, employable design skills. Students explore topics such as logo design, typography systems, brand guideline development, and the process of presenting and defending design decisions to clients or stakeholders.

As an Assistant Professor within the Department of Graphic Design, Adebayo Olusola also supports curriculum development that reflects current design software and industry presentation standards. He works closely with senior faculty across the School of Creative Media & Design to ensure that coursework prepares students for real client and agency design environments.

Adebayo Olusola is especially attentive to helping students build a strong, professional design portfolio, recognizing that a well-curated portfolio is often the most important factor in graphic design hiring decisions. He designs coursework around realistic brand identity briefs, encouraging students to document and present their design process clearly.

Recognizing that many of his students are working professionals studying online, Adebayo Olusola structures his courses with accessible design exercises, clear project milestones, and consistent opportunities for design feedback. His approach to online teaching emphasizes building a disciplined, professional design process that students can continue developing independently.

Students who study under Adebayo Olusola often highlight his ability to make foundational design principles feel relevant to real-world branding challenges. His long-term goal as an educator is to help students develop the visual communication skills needed to succeed in graphic design, branding, and visual identity careers.
