About Felix Andrade

Felix Andrade is an Associate Professor in the Department of Multimedia Design at International University Canada, where he teaches and mentors students across the School of Creative Media & Design. His academic work focuses on digital video production, examining how content moves from initial concept through filming, editing, and final delivery across a range of multimedia platforms.

Throughout his academic career, Felix Andrade has developed a teaching approach that emphasizes complete production workflow literacy, helping students understand each stage of video production rather than focusing narrowly on a single skill such as editing or camera work alone. He encourages students to think like producers who understand how every production decision affects later stages of the workflow.

In his courses, Felix Andrade draws on production case studies, post-production workflow breakdowns, and current research in digital video technology to help students build practical, industry-relevant skills. Students explore topics such as pre-production planning, camera and lighting fundamentals, video editing techniques, and color correction and audio mixing in post-production.

As an Associate Professor within the Department of Multimedia Design, Felix Andrade also contributes to curriculum planning that keeps pace with evolving video production technology and distribution platforms. He works closely with colleagues across the School of Creative Media & Design to ensure that coursework reflects current industry-standard production tools and delivery formats.

Felix Andrade places particular emphasis on helping students understand how production decisions made early in a project, such as shot planning and lighting setup, directly affect the efficiency and quality of later post-production work. He designs coursework that walks students through complete production cycles to reinforce this connected understanding.

Recognizing that many of his students are working professionals studying online, Felix Andrade structures his courses with clear production workflow guides, accessible software tutorials, and consistent opportunities for project feedback. His approach to online teaching emphasizes building a complete, practical understanding of video production that students can apply independently.

Students who study under Felix Andrade often highlight his ability to demystify the full video production process and make it feel achievable from start to finish. His long-term goal as an educator is to help students develop the technical and workflow skills needed to succeed in digital video production and multimedia design careers.
