About Lindiwe Dube

Lindiwe Dube is an Associate Professor in the Department of Agricultural Science at International University Canada, where she teaches and mentors students across the School of Agriculture & Environment. Her academic work focuses on livestock management and animal husbandry, examining how animal health, nutrition, and welfare practices contribute to productive and sustainable livestock farming operations.

Throughout her academic career, Lindiwe Dube has developed a teaching approach grounded in practical animal care knowledge, helping students understand the nutritional, health, and welfare needs of different livestock species. She encourages students to approach livestock management with attention to both productivity goals and animal welfare standards.

In her courses, Lindiwe Dube draws on livestock management case studies, animal nutrition research, and current developments in sustainable livestock farming to help students build practical agricultural skills. Students explore topics such as livestock nutrition planning, animal health monitoring, breeding management, and welfare-focused approaches to livestock housing and handling.

As an Associate Professor within the Department of Agricultural Science, Lindiwe Dube also contributes to curriculum planning that reflects current best practices in livestock management across different farming scales and contexts. She works closely with colleagues across the School of Agriculture & Environment to ensure that coursework remains relevant to livestock farmers working in diverse regional and economic conditions.

Lindiwe Dube is especially attentive to helping students understand livestock management practices that are appropriate to different resource levels, recognizing that smallholder livestock farmers often face different challenges than large commercial operations. She designs coursework that encourages students to consider practical, scalable approaches to livestock care.

Recognizing that many of her students are working professionals studying online, Lindiwe Dube structures her courses with accessible animal care guides, clear management frameworks, and consistent opportunities for applied discussion. Her approach to online teaching emphasizes building practical livestock management skills that students can apply directly within their own farming contexts.

Students who study under Lindiwe Dube often highlight her ability to connect animal science with genuinely practical livestock management strategies. Her long-term goal as an educator is to help students develop the scientific and practical skills needed to support careers in livestock management, animal husbandry, and agricultural science.
