About Olamide Adeku

Olamide Adeku is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Media & Communication at International University Canada, where he teaches and supports students across the School of Arts & Social Sciences. His academic work focuses on social media strategy, examining how organizations build audience engagement, manage brand presence, and communicate effectively across rapidly evolving social platforms.

Throughout his early academic career, Olamide Adeku has built a teaching approach grounded in platform-specific strategic thinking, helping students understand that effective social media communication requires adapting content, tone, and timing to the distinct culture and audience expectations of each platform. He encourages students to think critically about audience behavior rather than applying one-size-fits-all content strategies.

In his courses, Olamide Adeku draws on social media campaign case studies, audience analytics frameworks, and current research in digital communication to help students build practical, employable skills. Students explore topics such as content strategy development, audience engagement analytics, crisis communication on social platforms, and the ethical considerations involved in digital audience targeting and engagement.

As an Assistant Professor within the Department of Media & Communication, Olamide Adeku also supports curriculum development that reflects the constantly evolving social media platform landscape. He works closely with senior faculty across the School of Arts & Social Sciences to ensure that coursework prepares students for the fast-changing realities of digital communication careers.

Olamide Adeku is especially attentive to helping students understand social media strategy as part of a broader communication ecosystem, recognizing that effective digital communicators must coordinate messaging across multiple channels rather than treating social media in isolation. He designs coursework that encourages students to think holistically about integrated communication strategy.

Recognizing that many of his students are working professionals studying online, Olamide Adeku structures his courses with accessible platform case studies, clear strategic frameworks, and consistent opportunities for applied project work. His approach to online teaching emphasizes building practical social media strategy skills that students can apply directly within their own organizations.

Students who study under Olamide Adeku often highlight his ability to make social media strategy feel both creative and analytically grounded. His long-term goal as an educator is to help students develop the strategic and creative skills needed to succeed in social media management, digital communication, and brand strategy careers.
