About Priya Vasudevan

Priya Vasudevan is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Human Resource Management at International University Canada, where she teaches and supports students across the School of Business. Her academic work focuses on talent acquisition, examining how organizations identify, attract, and select candidates who fit both the technical requirements and cultural needs of available roles.

Throughout her early academic career, Priya Vasudevan has built a teaching approach grounded in structured, equitable recruitment practices, helping students understand how well-designed hiring processes reduce bias while improving the quality and fit of hiring decisions. She encourages students to design recruitment processes that are both effective and fair to candidates.

In her courses, Priya Vasudevan draws on recruitment case studies, candidate evaluation frameworks, and current research in talent acquisition strategy to help students build practical HR skills. Students explore topics such as job analysis and requirements definition, structured interview design, candidate sourcing strategies, and approaches for reducing unconscious bias throughout the hiring process.

As an Assistant Professor within the Department of Human Resource Management, Priya Vasudevan also supports curriculum development that reflects current best practices in equitable and effective recruitment. She works closely with senior faculty across the School of Business to ensure that coursework prepares students for real-world talent acquisition roles within diverse organizations.

Priya Vasudevan is especially attentive to helping students understand recruitment from the candidate's perspective as well as the organization's, recognizing that positive candidate experience affects employer brand and future recruitment success. She designs coursework that encourages students to consider both organizational needs and candidate experience throughout hiring process design.

Recognizing that many of her students are working professionals studying online, Priya Vasudevan structures her courses with accessible recruitment frameworks, clear evaluation tools, and consistent opportunities for applied discussion. Her approach to online teaching emphasizes building practical talent acquisition skills that students can apply directly within HR roles.

Students who study under Priya Vasudevan often highlight her ability to make recruitment strategy feel structured and genuinely fair.
